ASCE Outreach

As a Section, we reach out to local students to show them the wonders of engineering, through visiting schools and talking to them.  We make presentations at schools and try to answer students' questions about civil engineering.

We have grade school coloring books, age-appropriate video tapes about engineering, various hand-outs, and Powerpoint presentations available for your use if you are interested in visiting a school.  In 1998-99, we visited dozens of schools and made contact with over 1,000 students.

If you would like to join us in our outreach efforts, there are materials available to help you with your presentation.  For information, click here to contact us.
